Installing Ubuntu for dual boot with XP

Friday July 7thUbuntu Category

After running the Ubuntu 6.06 desktop beta on my old laptop i thought it was time to start using in a more productive way on my main machine. After searching for how to dual boot it looked fool proof. I watched a video and took notes then I repartitioned my hard drive in two and put the cd in and rebooted the machine. To my surprise what i had seen on the video did not look like my screen. In fact it was even easier. After hitteng enter selecting two or three setting the os was installed and raring to go. Install and running have been great now i need to find some good development tools…

As Ubuntu comes with OpenOffice and Firefox I was rather disapointed to find Thunderbird missing. This was easy to install but I always assumed if you used one you used the other. By the way favorite theme for Thunderbird GodLike Bizzy by Quer Media Desiel Graphics was not available for linux…. wait a minute it’s gone some is strange is happening here….

Hi, ran across your post while looking for the Godlike Bizzy theme for TB. It seems to have been removed from the AMO site — most likely by the author since his website has since been cleaned up/out too. However, I did run across a copy of the .jar file on a moz mirror if you still need it. :)
